Ingredients

  • 400 g Raw Rice
  • 800 ml Water

Instructions & Preparation

1

Add 400 g of raw rice to the bowl you'll use for cooking. Rinse the rice under running water a couple of times until the water runs clear. Soak the rice for 15 to 30 minutes if desired.

Timer: 30 minutes
2

Drain the soaking water from the rice. Add 800 ml of water to the bowl. Optionally add salt.

3

Add half cup of water to the pressure cooker.

4

Place the bowl with rice and water into the pressure cooker. Cover with the lid.

5

Turn on the flame. Once steam starts to come through the hole, place the weight on the hole and pressure cook for 4 whistles.

6

After 4 whistles, turn off the flame. Allow the cooker to depressurize naturally.

7

Once depressurized, remove the weight from the hole, open the lid. Serve the rice directly from the bowl.
